Who am I?

My name is Jason, I am a high school senior and I like listening to music and making silly drawings. I’m also gay and present in a gender non-conforming manner. I chose to tackle the harmful rhetoric surrounding trans youth because I wanted to analyze anti-trans talking points, correct misconceptions, and ultimately demystify the trans experience. It still kind of sucks to be trans in most places, so I hope I can provide a more even-handed perspective in the midst of blatantly (or subtly) bigoted arguments.

Our purpose

This website serves as a guide and resource for people who lack the knowledge to navigate questions concerning the rights of queer people. We believe that conversations about our experiences are being had by people that ignore, deliberately or otherwise, our history and our perspectives. We hope that by raising awareness, we will invite more nuanced discussions that include our voices.

That being said, awareness and dialogue alone is not enough. If we want to see change in our lifetime, we need to play active roles. Contact your representatives, stay in touch with local organizations, and keep an eye on the bills our legislators pass.
